Vertical knitting
500 auto-looms running 7, 10, 13, 15, 18 and 21 gauge, so the liner is ours from the first yarn feed — not bought in and re-labelled.
Gripeco Safety is the export brand of Nantong Century Dongheng Gloves Co., Ltd. — a knitting and dipping plant on the north bank of the Yangtze, built in 2006 and still run by the same family. We knit the liner, blend the coating, dip, cure, inspect and pack under one roof.
In 2006 we started with a handful of knitting machines in Rudong County, Nantong — a district that has been making textiles for a century and sits two hours from Shanghai by road. The first orders were plain cotton and latex-dipped gloves for trading companies, sold on price.
That model did not survive the 2010s. Buyers stopped asking for a price per dozen and started asking what the glove could do: which cut level, which grip in oil, which gauge on a 15-second assembly cycle. So we rebuilt the plant around the answer — our own knitting floor, our own compounding, our own dipping lines, and a sample room that can turn a spec into a wearable glove in under two weeks.
Today the plant covers roughly 7,000 m² with about 100 people on site. We knit from 7 to 21 gauge, coat in nitrile, foam nitrile, sandy nitrile, latex and PU, and finish with the labelling, packing and documentation that a distributor needs to put the carton straight onto a shelf.
We still do not own a brand of our own. Every pair leaves with someone else's name on it — which is exactly why we are careful about whose name it is.
Numbers we can hold to on a purchase order, not brochure figures.

Robotic dipping with in-house compounding for nitrile, foam, sandy and crinkle finishes, plus natural latex and PU. Palm, 3/4 and full coating.
A dedicated sample room and pattern library. Send a competitor glove or a written spec and we come back with a counter-sample, not a promise.
One million pairs a month across roughly 40 active constructions, with batch records kept so a reorder in eighteen months still matches.
Nantong Century Dongheng Gloves Co., Ltd. is registered and starts knitting and dipping on a single site.
Quality management system first certified on 11 July 2022 for the production of nitrile, latex and PU gloves.
Recycled-content scope certificate issued by Intertek; two crystal-wire cut-resistant models certified to ANSI/ISEA 105 levels A5 and A6.
Social compliance monitoring begins, covering working hours, remuneration, health and safety and business ethics.
Recertification audit passed in July 2025. Certificate 65325Q10069R1M remains valid to 10 July 2028, subject to annual surveillance.
Four-pillar SMETA audit completed in April; amfori BSCI full monitoring renewed in July 2026 and valid to July 2027.
Six stops from yarn to carton. Every one of them happens on the same site.
HPPE, polyester, nylon, steel filament and fibreglass are blended to the spec; coating compounds are mixed in-house so viscosity and cure stay stable batch to batch.
500 auto-looms knit the liner to gauge and size, with the thumb crotch and finger tips reinforced where the wear actually happens.
Ten robotic lines coat palm, 3/4 or full. Oven temperature and dwell time are logged per batch.
Gloves are washed to remove residual coagulant and dried to a controlled moisture level before they reach the packing bench.
Inline checks plus an AQL finished-goods inspection. Third-party inspection by SGS, Intertek or BV can be arranged on request.
Polybag, hang tag, inner box, barcode, carton print — then FOB Ningbo or Shanghai, or DDP to your door.
Audit references and expiry dates are listed so your compliance team can verify them directly with the issuing body.
Copies of current certificates, audit reports and product test data are available on request under NDA. Where a certificate is under renewal we say so rather than showing a lapsed document.
Yarn count, filament integrity and compound viscosity checked against the approved sample before a lot is released to the line.
First-off approval at the start of every shift, then hourly checks on coating weight, cure and sizing.
AQL sampling per carton on coating defects, size tolerance, cuff elasticity and labelling accuracy.
SGS, Intertek or Bureau Veritas pre-shipment inspection arranged at your cost whenever you want an outside signature.
If the sample was 4X42E, the shipment is 4X42E. Substituting a yarn to protect a margin is how factories lose accounts.
Test reports, declarations, packing lists and certificates of origin prepared correctly the first time, so nothing sits in customs.
Social and quality records are maintained continuously. We would rather fix a finding than hide it until the next visit.
If a date slips we tell you the week it slips, not the week the vessel sails.
We host factory visits and video walk-throughs for serious buyers. Send us the constructions you are sourcing and we will set up a call from the sample room floor.
