New coating line expands daily capacity

By Gripeco operations 3 min read
Coated gloves on the dipping line

Our tenth robotic dipping line finished installation in August and has moved from commissioning into trial production. It is running sandy nitrile to start, with foam nitrile to follow once the cure profile is signed off.

Why it matters beyond the number

Capacity on paper is not the constraint most buyers feel. The constraint is queueing: when a large OEM order lands on a line that is already committed, every other customer on that line waits. Adding a tenth line, and qualifying it for sandy nitrile, means a peak order no longer pushes standard reorders back by two weeks.

It also gives us a second qualified source for the same construction. If a line goes down for maintenance, production moves rather than stops — which is the difference between a delay we manage and a delay you inherit.

What changes in the quotation

  • Sandy nitrile constructions can now be quoted at 30–45 days instead of 45–60 in peak season.
  • Repeat orders retain their approved sample across either line, so batch consistency does not depend on which line runs.
  • New tooling still carries the longer lead time — the constraint there is the die, not the line.

If you have an order sitting in a queue with us, your account contact will confirm whether the scheduling has moved. If you are planning a Q4 programme, this is a good moment to ask for a date.
